This picture is a good example of being at the right place, at the right time. I was on my way out of Abu Dhabi towards Dubai and decided to stop by at The Grand Mosque on my way. It was an ideal time to capture long shadows as there was still an hour to go before dusk. I lined my camera up in a manner to get the complete shadow of the arch. Ideally it would be best to capture it absolutely parallel to the lines on the floor but it was not possible as I had a pillar in my way. Hence, that is why I had to end up tilting my camera slightly to the right to frame the complete shadow of the arch. There will be times when you can not get the ideal shot you are looking for because of immovable obstacles present in your way, but the least you can do is try your best to get it close to the shot you had in mind.
