The Earth’s Dried Veins

This is a re-edited image which I had uploaded a long time ago on my facebook page. This was a shot I took when I was on my way to Alexandria, Egypt from Dubai, UAE. I saw these absolutely amazing veined lines running through over the mountains. It looked like dry river beds to me. I still am not able to understand what this phenomenon is called. It looked pretty scary at first because it looked really unusual to me. It seems as though once these rivers used to flow over these mountains and they eventually seized or maybe these rivers are only active during the summer season. If you can tell what these are, please do let me know.:)

It is really difficult to frame a shot when you are taking snaps from a plane since you have less than a minute or so to take a good shot. My advice is to snap whatever you can take when you are travelling and later on select the ones which turn out the best.:)

This is amazing… how the lines make me miss the sense of proportions, until I see the horizon and I realize that is an aerial photo … Great Shot my friend…!! :)
